AI Training Courses
These courses will predominantly be offered online to accommodate a substantial number of learners. In addition to courses provided by Chulalongkorn University, there will be collaborations with both domestic and international educational institutions and private sector entities that are well-equipped with AI knowledge and training resources.
The examples provided below may include older courses that require updating, as well as new courses currently under development. The objective is to create personalized learning pathways that cater to each individual's background and interests, providing flexibility and supporting lifelong learning. Chulalongkorn University Courses:
Chula MOOC: Offered by the Learning Innovation Center, this platform is widely recognized in Thai society, boasting over 2,000,000 registrations. Participants receive a participation certificate, and it already features several well-developed AI courses.
Chula MOOC Snap, offered by the Learning Innovation Center in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, is a new product derived from Chula Lunch Talk. Participants will receive a participation certificate, and the course offerings include AI-related courses such as:
Chula MOOC Flexi, offered by the Office of General Education in collaboration with the Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Commission (ONDE), is a ready-to-use course. Students can earn credits in the General Education category (GenEd). Additionally, it is open to the general public for learning, and credits can be earned and transferred across universities through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI).
Degree Plus: A joint venture between Chulalongkorn University and Skooldio has been established to enhance the capability of developing training courses to cater to the business sector.

International Course Providers in Collaboration with Chula AI:
Tsinghua University: The leading university in Asia, recognized for its pioneering advancements in AI. Tsinghua has developed three specialized large language models (LLMs) for education, currently implemented in over 100 courses.
XuetangX: An esteemed online learning platform that curates courses from both Chinese and international universities. XuetangX has been collaborating with Thai MOOC and Chulalongkorn University since May 2024, enhancing cross-border educational exchanges.
edX: Founded by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), edX is a renowned online learning platform. Chulalongkorn University has been providing licenses to its faculty and students for over a year and is in the process of formalizing an agreement to offer its courses globally via edX. The Learning Innovation Center at Chulalongkorn University is meticulously developing distinctive courses designed to engage and attract international learners, including:

NVIDIA: As the exclusive global manufacturer of GPUs, which are critical for the computationally demanding processes involved in AI and ML model training, NVIDIA has been partnering with researchers from Chulalongkorn University since 2019. This ongoing partnership has led to the establishment of the NVIDIA AI Technology Center (NVAITC) at Chulalongkorn University. The inaugural training session is scheduled to take place in Thailand on August 17-18, 2024. This event offers an unparalleled opportunity for Thai students and AI researchers to gain direct access to advanced training from NVIDIA. Furthermore, the participation of industry representatives will provide a valuable platform for both academic and business sectors to engage with Chulalongkorn University’s latest AI developments.
AWS: As one of the world’s leading cloud service providers, AWS is set to open a data center in Thailand in 2025. This marks a significant milestone for Chulalongkorn University, which will collaborate with AWS on educational programs, operations, and research initiatives. Starting this year, AWS will offer 60 free courses from the AWS Skill Builder program to Chulalongkorn students via myCourseVille. Additionally, efforts are underway to make these courses available to the general public through Chula MOOC. Numerous faculty members at Chulalongkorn University have already received training from AWS Academy, allowing them to effectively utilize AWS resources in their teaching.
Google: Chulalongkorn University has incorporated the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate into its curriculum for all faculties, facilitated by the Center for Continuing Education. Over two semesters, students have been able to earn academic credits for completing these courses through Coursera, with support from Google Thailand. This initiative has seen hundreds of students successfully earn the Google Professional Certificate, underscoring the university’s commitment to providing cutting-edge educational opportunities.
